Torpedo Barber Review

Reserva Selecta – Torpedo Barber

6 X 50 –  Mild Bodied
Wrapper: Aged Connecticut Shade and Dominican Corojo
Binder: Ecuador
Filler: Dominican Republic

This beautiful cigar, a true work of art from master roller, an artisan, was the first PAYNE-MASON I smoked.  This cigar also made me a huge fan of the torpedo shape, having preferred the robusto beforehand.  The candy cane of a barber pole has been replaced by two wonderful wrappers resulting in a two-toned, double wrapped cigar.  This is one of the most eye appealing cigars you will ever see; another one of PAYNE-MASON masterpieces that you almost don’t want to smoke.

And then you do.

I have introduced this cigar to hundreds of people and the response has been universal.  This is one of the best cigars they have ever smoked.
That was my reaction when I smoked my first Torpedo Barber.  One of the top five smokes of my life then and now.  The complex combination of fillers results in a sweet, delicate and well-balanced smoking experience that is sophisticated enough for an aficionado and highly enjoyable for the new cigar smoker.
