UCSF Medical Center Celebrity Golf Classic

The true value of this event is to provide a high quality and high visibility cultivation and fundraising dinner followed by an intimate celebrity golf tournament. Invitees will instantly recognize this as an extremely special and exclusive experience.
The dinner and golf tournament events will provide the non-profit partners, the celebrity athletes and the guests with a tremendous opportunity to personally meet a significant group of business prospects and philanthropic leaders.

The dinner and golf tournaments carry on and build upon the traditional golf tournament events that both All Stars Helping Kids and UCSF Medical Center have held for years, while inviting the Michael J. Fox Foundation into the circle. Moving the venue to Mayacama in Sonoma County will provide a greater degree of intimacy and exclusivity for the star studded event.

For more than 100 years, UCSF Medical Center has fostered clinical innovations that have brought about dramatic advances in medicine. Ranked among the top hospitals in the nation, UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital are recognized throughout the world as leaders in health care, and are known for innovative medicine, advanced technology and compassionate care. Keeping with its tradition of excellence, UCSF is embarking on a bold plan to build a new children’s, women’s and cancer hospital complex at its groundbreaking Mission Bay campus in San Francisco. The integrated clinical facilities will set a world-class standard for patient care, safety, sustainability and translational medicine – all in an environment centered around the needs of patients and their families.

In 1989, Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott founded All Stars Helping Kids with the belief that everyone could be an All Star when it comes to giving back. The mission of All Stars Helping Kids is to break the cycle of poverty for children by seed funding Bay Area nonprofits and helping them grow. All Stars’ team approach to philanthropy pools the resources of athletes, corporations and individuals to provide financial and technical assistance to start-up nonprofits.

As the world’s largest private funder of Parkinson’s research, The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) is dedicated to accelerating a cure for Parkinson’s disease and improved therapies for those living with the condition today. Team Fox is the grassroots community fundraising program at The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Each year, more than 1,500 Team Fox members worldwide turn their passions and interests into unique fundraising events and athletic feats.

Mayacama Golf Club

Consistently ranked among Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Courses in America”, when golf is played as it is at Mayacama, the game returns to its time-honored origins. Woven into the hillsides and valleys, the Signature walking course is unequivocally one of Jack Nicklaus’ finest. Guided by caddies, golfers take to the meticulously groomed, 6,761-yard layout.

Nicklaus took full advantage of the natural terrain in shaping the course at Mayacama. Generous fairways appear as verdant fingers set in the valleys between oak-studded hills. Tees or greens, and sometimes both, are elevated. Greens are accepting, but also firm, fast, tiered and contoured. And while not long for a championship track of this caliber, about 6,800 yards, the slope is 150. As such, Mayacama is not a course where power prevails, but one where a deft touch and patience pay off. It is that truly great Members’ course – one where every challenging round is anticipated, where each is an invigorating challenge and, perhaps best of all, where the stakes are not dollars but wine, and winnings happily shared.
