This June, microbreweries, craft beer makers and brew pubs from throughout Southern California and beyond descend on Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula for one special afternoon. The 8th Annual Pechanga Microbrew Festival and Chili Cook-off happens Saturday, June 11 from 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. inside the Pechanga Grand Ballroom. For one price, beer enthusiasts can taste unlimited samples of craft and small production brews from San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles and Orange counties, as well as selections from Northern California, the Midwest and east coast. Ticket holders also can enjoy limitless tastes of eight varieties of homemade chili, fired up by the award-winning chefs at Pechanga Resort & Casino.
New this year is the VIP ticket, available to everyone who wants to get a more intimate environment to taste and appreciate the more than 100 beers and chili varieties on hand. VIP tickets are $65 and allow pass holders entry at 12:00p.m. and give them an upgraded tasting glass. General admission Pechanga Microbrew Festival tickets are $50. Guests receive a two ounce souvenir glass to sample unlimited beer tastings. Designated driver tickets are available for $30. Beer Pouring from Bottle with more than 100 microbreweries and craft brewers now dotting the map in Southern California, traveling to each and every one could prove difficult for even the biggest of beer fans. The Pechanga Microbrew Festival brings many of these suds selections together in one place. Whether one’s beer taste includes a light blonde ale, a rich stout or anything in between, it will be satisfied at the Microbrew Fest.
In addition to sampling some of the best small craft beers and chili varieties, and enjoying live music, the 8th Annual Pechanga Microbrew Festival features a silent auction with prizes including getaway stays, golf outings, sports memorabilia, fine wine and beer gift baskets and much more. Proceeds from the event support Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley programs including homebuilding, free Healthy Homes and Financial Wellness workshops, neighborhood revitalization, home improvement on behalf of veterans and the organization’s two ReStore locations.
Stater Bros. Charities Dave Stockton Heroes Challenge has become the largest charity golf event in the region. Each year the event hosts notable Tour players such as John Cook, Gary McCord, Olin Browne and Morgan Pressel and World Golf Hall of Fame players Lee Trevino, Donna Caponi, Larry Nelson and Hubert Green.
The Heroes Challenge is a closed event limited to several players who compete for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and highest grossing team and consists of Stockton’s PGA Tour friends, Medal of Honor recipients, and celebrities who all come out for a great game of golf.
In 2008, Stater Bros. Markets’ Executive Chairman, Jack H. Brown, partnered with longtime friend and PGA Champions Tour Pros, Dave Stockton to launch this vision that, through its fundraising efforts, has helped countless charities, causes and community members.
Both Brown and Stockton were born and raised in San Bernardino, California and have been proud residents of the Inland Empire for most of their lives. Because of their close ties to the community, Brown and Stockton feel a great desire to give back to the Inland Empire.

The Toshiba Classic is the largest and most exciting annual event in Orange County. Each year, 150 sponsors, 1,000 volunteers and 85,000 spectators support the Toshiba Classic, providing the means for a tournament that produces record earnings for charity. The Toshiba Classic has become a tradition in the Orange County community.
Hoag Charity Sports, a supporting organization of Hoag Hospital Foundation, produces the Toshiba Classic and the profits from the Toshiba Classic benefit Hoag’s Centers of Excellence and other local charities.
The tournament generates over $1,000,000 for charity annually, and our 17 year total exceeds $17 million. Beginning with the 2011 tournament, proceeds have benefited the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag. The mission of the Allen Diabetes Center is to make a difference by improving the quality of life for all people with diabetes or at risk of diabetes, through prevention, early detection, prompt care, education and support. In addition to Hoag, tournament proceeds have also been contributed to more than 45 other charities. The Toshiba Classic Scholarship Program has provided over $249,000 in scholarships and support to local schools and over $400,000 worth of Toshiba laptops to deserving local high schools and seniors.
